COLORS

  • Traditional: blue, seal, chocolate and lilac
  • New: red, cream and torbie

PATTERNS

  • Traditional: colorpoint, mitted and bicolor
  • New: lynx and tortie

Pattern description

  • Colorpoint
Mask, ears tail and legs are of dark colour, the rest of the body must be clear in order to see a contrast with the points. A smooth shade on the body is accepted and it will darken with the age.

  • Mitted
Similar to the colorpoint but with white gloves on the front paws and the back paws until the hock.
The chin must be white, and there should be a white belly stripe from the chin down the collar to the base of the tail.
A white blaze between eyes and the nose is allowed but cannot affect the nose leather that has to be of the color of the points.

  • Bicolor
It's characterized by the inverted V on the face. The more centred the better.
The rest of the mask, the ears and the tail are the same colour as the point.
The back is shaded and minor white spotting is allowed.
The rest of the body: front and back paws, belly, collar, chin and muzzle must be white. All the paws pads and the nose leather must be pink.
Depending on the amount of white on the body, the bicolor can be:
    • Bicolor true
    • Bicolor high mitted
    • Bicolor mid high
    • Bicolor high white or van
  • Lynx
The lyns pattern presents stripe marks on the points. You can see a W on the face.

  • Tortie
Only the females have a gene that allows them to have this pattern. In the tortie point, the red or cream color is mixed with one of the other colors.
